During this week an important election took place in the USA, and the result was something not expected. It could look like something where we see people being called out, like the Torah portion of this week. By the favour of YAH, we will be starting next week day one with teachings by Bill Cloud of Jacob’s Tent, and we thought it good to introduce you to him a week earlier. This following discussion leaves plenty of food for though for every believer, whether you reside in USA or elsewhere on earth. What may smell like roses, could be a deception of the enemy.

This week’s portion from Torah involves many journeys – west, south, north, any direction you can think of. When YAH orders Avram to move from Ur-Kasdim to Kena’an, Avram obeys, but things don’t always work out well. YAH calls Avram to leave all that was familiar, secure, comfortable and beloved, in order to go to an unknown land where he would dwell as a stranger. This parallels the call of YAH to many in our generation to ‘come home’ to the Land of Yisra’el, maybe not the physical in this day and age, but the rest that Yeshua promises to give after his return.

YAH promises in His Word to bring His people home from all four directions of the earth and He is fulfilling His Word in our very day – and it’s so exciting! YAH is bringing people back to His rules and institutes, never again to be uprooted from the land that He has given us! The problem with most people, is that they still like to prescribe to YAH what they want and refuse to listen to what He wants of them.

In our teachings for today, both Leo du Toit and John Wahl discuss the reason that YAH told Avram to leave his comfort zone.
